Wake up earlier

I know this is the most over stated tip out there, but seriously is so true. It is amazing how much you can get done when you are under a time constraint and have some place to be.

Tip// If you struggle to get up in the morning try turning the snooze option off on your phone and placing the phone across the room. By doing these two things you force yourself to get up out of the bed in order to turn the alarm off, and you’ve made it difficult to hit snooze and return to bed.

Prep your meals

Even if you aren’t dieting. Meal prepping will save time, money and calories.  If you want to feel better and save money, meal prepping is a great tool. I meal prep all our meals three days at a time on Sundays and Wednesdays.  I save a ton of money on eating out, I’v lost weight and I just over all feel better.

Reading expands your vocabulary and just overall knowledge. Even if it’s just a little bit every day. I try to read at least ten pages a day from whatever I am readying. It isn’t a lot of time but it’s just a few minutes of sitting still and doing something that will result in overall self-improvement.

TIP: Audio books are a great way to get a book in if you generally just don’t have the time to sit down and read. I use the Audiable app and can easily finish one book a week during my daily commute.

Budgeting

Knowing how much money is coming in and what’s going out is seriously life changing! When I started tracking my expenses I was sick by how much money I was spending on Starbucks and food. Once I was aware of where my money was going I could make the necessary changes to reach my financial goals. How you choose to track your expenses is up to you. I now use the Dave Ramsey envelope system to budget my finances along with the EveryDollar App.

Get Moving

Most of us can use a little more activity in our life. Whatever you’re doing currently, take it up a notch. Whether it’s a short stroll around the block during your lunch break or an extra ten minutes on your cardio workout. Movement causes an increase in endorphins, which is an instant mood booster.

Have a GSD Day

Have a get stuff done day! Pick one day a week and focus on literally getting your shiznit together. One day a week, usually Sunday afternoon I focus on all the small task that need to be done, laundry, meal prep, nail appointments, pay bills, whatever random task that I struggle to get done day to day.
